Vermont Traditions and Willoughvale

Handmade in Vermont, New England

Our Vermont Traditions dining and occasional tables, sideboards and dresser tops, American chairs and Willoughvale bedroom range are made in rural Vermont, close to the Canadian border.

Here’s the makers story:

After graduating from high school in 1979, David Allard started working out of a Fieldstone House he was building for his parents, making custom cabinets and furniture. David constructed his first woodworking shop from timber he cut from the family farm and had milled locally.

Over the years, seven additions have been built on the original building and two more workshops have been added, bringing the total to over 140,000 square feet of production space and employing approximately 80 crafts people. In 2000, David was recognized as the "Vermont Small Business Person of the Year" by the Small Business Associaton.

Dave continues to farm in his spare time, and also makes some of the best maple syrup New England has to offer! Here is a picture of David displaying some of his furniture on his farm.
